About the Opportunity – Electrical Engineering in HVDC/MVDC Systems
We are searching for a motivated Electrical Engineer in HVDC and MVDC systems. In this important role, you will support the development, implementation, and optimization of our advanced electrical power solutions, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety for our customers and society.
Key Responsibilities – Electrical Engineer
As Electrical Engineer you will be part of a newly created team based in Vårgårda. You will work on HVDC/MVDC applications that protect systems producing, storing, and converting electricity. These systems include energy transmission stations, converter stations, energy storage systems, and more, both for medium- and high-voltage requirements.
You and your team will be responsible for designing advanced Switchgears that protect other equipment in the system. Given the need for rapid closing or opening of electrical circuits, our pyrotechnical solution is key. You will participate in the electrical part of the design and development of these switches, ensuring their safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards from an electrical perspective.
You will focus on driving innovation and advancing the products and solutions, working across all stages of the product lifecycle—from concept through deployment.
Your role will also involve in-depth development in your specialized area, continuously advancing HVDC/MVDC Switchgear technology.
Qualifications and Skills – HVDC/MVDC Electrical Engineering
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of power electronics, control systems, and electrical safety standards (such as IEC, IEEE, or equivalent).
Hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD) and electrical CAD software.
Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

About the role
As an Expert Engineer within AI and Machine Learning, you will work with internal research projects as well as European-funded projects, focusing on automotive crash safety performance. You will also educate our Autoliv Engineers in AI/ML, and be part of our global AI/ML community. Additionally, you will carry out LS-DYNA FE simulations to create “Big data” for training AI models.
About you
We are seeking a PhD in AI and Machine Learning with LS-Dyna FE simulation skills. You should have excellent communication and presentation skills, as you will collaborate with engineers, institutes, and organizations around the world. Ideally, you have at least 5 years of experience in the AI/ML field. We also expect you to easily present and educate our Autoliv Engineers globally.

About the role You will join as a Development Engineer in a team that is working with innovation in its early phases for cross-product line projects and strategic projects within the mechatronic area. This means that we mainly have two types of projects:

Advanced engineering studies

When conducting idea evaluations, the input to the team is ideas, and the output is a recommendation. The tools used are rapid prototyping to enable quick iterations and ensure an efficient and robust workflow. When conducting advanced engineering studies, the input is an evaluated idea, and the output is a technical advancement and a more technically mature concept. The tools involve increased technical complexity and systems engineering.
As we are a broad and multidisciplinary team that aims to construct and evaluate early concepts together, you will have room to grow and learn from others.
About you We believe that you are not afraid to take your own initiatives and have a fail-fast approach. We also believe that you are a great team player and curious about the holistic perspective. About the role
As an Embedded Machine Learning Engineer, you will work with industrialization of machine learning models in embedded environments. This includes being a part of the team developing the embedded systems, as well as integration and optimization of machine learning models, interaction with project stakeholders, and integration of machine learning models into the embedded target software environment.
You will work in a small team responsible for building a toolbox for this. The team will own the bootstrapping of projects, as well as building the frameworks that will be used to accelerate the time from a prototype to a product in the hands of a user.
The team will be a central part in the machine learning strategy in the global context that is Autoliv. You will work in an international team together with teams from all over the world.
You will work with languages such as C, C++, and Python using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and TFLite. All of this on embedded target ranging from smaller Linux systems down to embedded microcontrollers in environments such as Linux, bare-metal MCUs, and AUTOSAR stacks. The code is kept in git and we automate our testing and integration using Azure DevOps.

Assignments
In this role you will part of the Mobility Safety Solutions Business Development team and with a global approach lead business development market analysis, to provide insights concerning mega trends within the society, to provide analysis of market reports, to identify customer, end consumer and partner needs all within the area of Mobility Safety Solutions to create input to business plans and strategies.

Vårt Mobility Safety Solutions team söker sin nya kollega. Teamets uppdrag är att utveckla säkerhetsprodukter i nära samarbete med andra funktioner inom företaget, bl.a. Research. Fokus i projekten är framförallt utveckling av nya produkter baserade på forskningsresultat och för att kunna möte kundens och marknadens behov. Vi söker nu en ingenjör vars fokus kommer att vara utveckling av nya koncept, konstruktioner och provmetoder inom området Wearables, vilket bl.a innefattar hjälmar och andra typer av skyddskläder/-utrustning.


Autoliv har verksamhet i ett flertal länder och du kommer att arbeta i ett globalt perspektiv och kollegorna finns på flera håll i världen.

Arbetsuppgifter
Ditt fokus är Wearables, ett relativt nyetablerat område inom Autoliv. Huvudsakliga uppgifter kommer att inkludera framtagning av nya koncept och utveckling av säkerhetsprodukter inom området. Produkterna vi tar fram måste uppfylla krav på teknisk funktionalitet, attraktivitet, ergonomi och användarvänlighet. Parallellt ska de också leva upp till ökade miljökrav.


Du kommer att få lösa olika utmaningar med både teoretiska och praktiska hjälpmedel. Oftast krävs snabb idégenerering i tidigt skede för att därefter fortsätta i att hitta tekniska lösningar som kan provas och utvärderas.


Du kommer att arbeta på den avdelning som är ansvarig för nyutveckling i vårt globala innovationscenter med placering i Vårgårda.

Kvalifikationer
För att vara framgångsrik i denna roll behöver du ha förståelse för utveckling av nyskapande produkter utifrån människors, miljöns och industrins behov. Du behöver kunna anamma ett helhetsperspektiv på produktframtagning och kunna kombinera formgivning med material och mekanik för att skapa den bästa lösningen med människan i fokus.


Rollen kräver erfarenhet av hela produktutvecklingsprocessen, från koncept till industrialiserad produkt samt god erfarenhet av just området wearables. Du gillar att initiera nya idéer och ha inflytande på kollegors idégenerering och har god kommunikativ förmåga. Dessutom är du självgående och tar fullt ägandeskap för ditt uppdrag, har en förmåga att prioritera och planera din dag och därmed hålla uppsatta deadlines.


Formellt ser vi att du har civil- eller högskoleingenjörsexamen inom industridesign och goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska i tal och skrift.

To support Autoliv’s mission for Innovation development and development of Mobility Safety Solutions (MSS) Autoliv has established a new Supply Chain Management organization connected to the Global Innovation Center in Sweden. The global supply chain organization is responsible for purchasing and supplier quality activities in early product development and application projects for new business areas and markets. Furthermore, the organization provides logistics competence in early development phases and drives global process development for advanced supply chain activities to capture expanded opportunities for innovation. We are now searching for a Project Supplier Quality Engineer for the mobility safety area.

Assignments:
As Project SQ you work primarily with ensuring the quality of new or changed parts in feasibility studies, development, application and serial life projects. Together with purchasing, the task is to work to prevent quality deficiencies in pre-development and ongoing production at suppliers. You apply quality methods as PPAP, 8D, FMEA, control plans, herringbone diagrams and "5-why" to verify corrective measures at the supplier. In the event of ongoing changes, you are involved in feasibility reviews, drawing release and in the end you are responsible for signing an approved PPAP from the supplier. You proactively work with auditing suppliers. Together we work for improved standardized working methods and control methods.


Travels will be required.


In your assignment you will work in a global context reporting to the Global Supply Chain Innovation Manager located in Vårgårda Sweden. You will also be connected to the Corporate Supplier Quality organisation at Autoliv.

As a Mechatronic engineer at Autoliv you will be working in a team who supports early phase development, develop prototypes and test equipment in order to evaluate different product concepts. You will work with implementing sensors and actuators in existing car environments (LIN, CAN) and design stand alone demonstrators.

Autoliv have business in several countries and you will be working closely with colleagues from different parts of the world. Travels may occur.


Qualifications
In order to succeed in this role we believe you have a university degree (Bachelor or Master) in mechatronics and at least 3 years of work experience including mechatronics and implementation in equipment and/or prototypes, preferably within automotive.

You also have a strong technical interest, are creative and innovative as well as responsible. You are able to drive your work independently and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English verbally and in writing.

The position demands that you can design systems that contains ECU, sensors and actuators with additional programming.

Arbetsuppgifter
Du kommer att arbeta som projektledare för processinnovationsprojekt, vilket bl.a. innebär att leda möten, planera och följa upp budget, och presentera projektets status enligt Autolivs ledningsstruktur. Initialt förväntas du ta en aktiv del i att forma nya agila arbetssätt för att driva denna form av projekt, samtidigt som du säkerställer att alla krav möts. Vidare koordinerar du interna och externa kontakter, vilket bl.a. innefattar att säkerställa rätt avtal med potentiella samarbetspartners och leverantörer med stöd av Legal och identifiera interna behov av samarbeten. Du ansvarar för projektdokumentation i samtliga steg och är en operativ projektmedlem.

Kvalifikationer
För att vara framgångsrik i denna roll har du en högskoleingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik eller annat närliggande område samt 5-7 års erfarenhet av att arbeta inom det produktionstekniska området samt projektledning. Du har mycket goda kunskaper inom det maskintekniska området och är van vid att driva olika former av projekt.

Som person är du nyfiken, innovativ, orädd, kan skapa struktur samt är entusiastisk, kommunikativ och självgående. Du tilltalas av utmaningar och involverar på ett smidigt sätt olika delar av organisationen för att nå projektets mål.
