Quality Manager

This role is responsible for managing and leading the Quality Department according to JTI quality standards, leading all Quality activities to ensure product Quality and consumer satisfaction, through systematic activities in monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of quality, prioritisation, and allocation of resources (staff and finance) in all areas of the Quality Department. This position coordinates trial activities on site, being the single point of contact (SPOC) with R&D/PD. Moreover, it ensures ISO 9001, HACCP and Contamination Prevention standards and procedures are in place, actively contributes to IWS routines and supports production team as required

Position

As Quality Manager, you will:

Leadership
Oversee and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring effective QA procedures and policies.
Act as a Quality servant leader, owning the Quality DMS, supporting IWS routines, and maintaining shopfloor presence.
Lead NTM Incoming Material Inspection and implement Insect Infestation Management guidelines.
Drive complaint investigations with Production, ensuring root cause analysis and preventive actions.
Monitor QMS performance, lead audits, and ensure ISO 9001 and HACCP compliance.
Promote a quality culture and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
Coach teams on IWS tools and principles aligned with site deployment


KPI Management
Analyse product and process data to define and implement corrective actions.
Support CAPA implementation and ensure PDCA effectiveness.
Liaise with Global functions for benchmarking and best practice adoption.
Apply IWS methodologies to eliminate quality losses


Annual Strategic Plan & Special Project
Manage Quality cost center resources to meet departmental needs.
Align ASP quality KPIs with Factory and Global requirements.
Coordinate trials with global teams, ensuring production readiness and timely reporting.
Lead Quality-related DMS activities within the IWS framework


New Product Development
Support NPD projects with internal and global teams.
Organise trials, track results, propose corrective actions, and coordinate equipment improvements.
Manage budgets, BAP updates, and ensure material availability and SAP accuracy.
Coordinate sampling and trial instructions with Production and QA


People Management
Lead and develop QA/QC teams for high performance and growth.
Identify training needs and coordinate development plans.
Recruit, motivate, and guide team development and succession planning.
Ensure staff training aligns with global/local standards and policies


Department Setup
Conduct appraisals, identify training needs, and ensure safe work practices.
Recruit new staff and define processes to meet Nordic Snus Factory standards


Other Responsibilities
Represent the company professionally and act as management representative.
Ensure compliance with JTI standards, policies, and improvement programs.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure effective departmental communication


Requirements:

University Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or similar)
At least 5 years of experience working in food production and/or quality in food industry
Continuous improvement experience of all Quality Management System activities
IWS experience: coach and develop teams in IWS principles and tools connected with Quality
ASP experience
Quality servant leadership
Experience in Incoming Material Inspection, finished product quality inspections
Corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) and PDCA implementation
Trials coordination experienc
Experience with Quality Information/Data Systems and Digital Tools will be a plus
People leadership
Supporting Management with updating budgets
English written and spoken fluently (Swedish is an advantage)
Good knowledge of MS Office, QIMS and SAP

Som VA-chef kommer du att ansvara för en grupp på 10 medarbetare. Med ditt närvarande ledarskap är du lyhörd, stöttande samt skapar de bästa förutsättningarna för dina medarbetare att kunna leverera en god service gentemot våra medborgare. I ditt uppdrag rapporterar du till Samhällsbyggnadschef och du kommer att vara en del av Samhällsbyggnads ledningsgrupp.

KVALIFIKATIONER
Du har högskoleexamen inom VA-området eller annan utbildning som arbetsgivaren bedömer som likvärdig och har arbetat inom VA-området tidigare. 

Det är meriterande om du har tidigare ledarskapserfarenhet samt tidigare har arbetat i en politiskt styrd organisation.

What this position is about - Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to lead the successful implementation of IWS across the entire factory, championing a culture shift toward zero-loss thinking and full employee ownership through servant leadership. Talent Management
Be responsible for coaching and leading local trainers, for continuous technical knowledge improvement and soft skills development of your subordinates and constantly support development of cell structures capabilities

People Management
Motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to IWS Manager position
Conduct staff appraisals and talent reviews, identify training needs and ensure all work is conducted in a safe manner
Ensure people have received needed information and training according to Global and Local standards, policies, procedures and requirements
Be responsible for the recruitment of new employees within the department

Requirements
University Degree in Production Management or Engineering
Proven experience of working in production/engineering and with a managerial/supervisor function
Experience and knowledge of IWS to Pillar Activation level is a must
Having Level 4 or Level 3 DMS Qualification
Experience in KPIs calculation
Experience in Swedish Labour Law & Work Environment will be an advantage
Excellent English fluently written and spoken, Swedish is an advantage
Advanced knowledge of MS Office

IWS Manager
What this position is about - Purpose:
As Integrated Work System Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring successful IWS implementation in the whole factory. What You´ll Do

As the Production Quality Group Manager, you’ll have a vital role at our manufacturing plant, were you’ll be responsible to secure the manufacturing quality.

We are a high-volume production plant and your main mission will be to ensure high quality of our products and processes but also support in quality methodology and technical know-how to your a team of highly skilled quality engineer.

You’ll work closely with the Production, and Industrial Engineering organizations both from an operational and strategic perspective. You’ll also be a member of the Quality and Operational Management team and report directly to Plant Quality Manager.

As Production Quality group Manager your major responsibilities are:

- Maintain and improve the quality and safety according to customers and Magna´s policies, standards and requirements

- Ensure that the equipment, machines as well as operator instructions etc meets the capability requirements with high quality

- Secure that quality risks and failure rates in our production are prioritized, investigated and that measures are verified and implemented.

- Secure a safe work environment where the work can be carried out without risk of ill health or accidents.

- To Coach, mentor, and develop staff. Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action

What You´ll Do

As the Maintenance Group Manager for the evening shift, you’ll be responsible to develop, improve and oversee processes within the maintenance department, to plan and execute clear productivity (MTTR, MTBF) goals, resources and drive continuous improvements in our internal processes, safety and work environment. Also during the evening shift you will be first escalation support for production related issues.

SMT (Surface Mount Technology) allows for the creation of customized electronic circuits by mounting individual components to a printed circuit board (PCB). In our SMT area we build PCBs to all our products and supply all internal final assembly customers.

What you'll do?
As the Production Group Manager, you’ll be responsible to develop, improve and manage the SMT area in Vårgårda and to plan and execute clear productivity goals and resources, adjust schedules as needed and monitor production standards.

You’ll lead a group of operators and team leaders that secures that the daily production is running as planned and that the processes are followed. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for improve existing processes, developing and implementing new processes and ways of working out of a Lean perspective. You will have full responsibility for work environment in the SMT area.

You’ll be a member of the Production Management Group and you’ll report directly to our Production Manager. You’ll also have a close collaboration with the other Production Group Managers and with our Logistics, Quality, Maintenance and Industrial Engineering department.

Job Description:
Manage and coordinate activities related to Finished Goods Production plan execution, with the main objective of timely and accurately delivery of FG to the Customer, linked to but not limited to: planning of production material requirement/delivery/arrival schedule; organization of transport, forwarding and logistics related activities; warehousing operations; procurement for all production materials. Introduce and follow waste handling procedures according to relevant legislation.


Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate activities related to the production plan based on Customer's requests
Plan, organize and direct all activities of the Warehousing areas
* Controls monthly and annual inventory counting process
* Leads all the ASP related activities related to the areas of responsibility (capacity studies, production plan, material planning, warehouses utilization).
* Managing the development plan for people and motivation to subordinates to ensure organizational capability to meet business objectives.
* Provide supervision, guidance and direction to all department members.
* Responsible for coordination of NPD projects for GSC and is the point of contact for all initiated projects. Follow up requirements, prioritization and communicating with internal stakeholders, customer and markets
* Evaluate and improve Management system procedures for respective processes


Minimum experience and qualifications:
* 5 years of experience of working in food production, quality in food industry or in the area of planning, procurement, logistics, import/export.
* Experience in Swedish Labor Law & Work Environment.
* Qualification: University Degree in area of Economy and/or Organisational Science

What you'll do?
As the Production Manager it will be your responsibility to lead our production in Vårgårda, to ensure that our different production lines are running effectively. Safety and quality two of Veoneer’s the key essences, both when it comes to our production and our employees. It is therefore apparent that you as Production Manager set strategically goals to maintain and improve the quality and safety for our employees and production according to both legal and Veoneer’s policies, standards and requirement.
